The Annual Big Lunch seems to be turning into the Biggest Out-door Event of the Year here in our Abbey Community. This year’s BIG LUNCH was organised by the Fearless Wendy Lansdown and her Co-coordinator Nicky Shepard. They spent six months in the planning with other Abbey People and numerous volunteers and Community groups like: FoodCycle, Make-do-and-Mend, Barnwell Baptist Church, Sustrans' bicycle movement, local face painters, Forever Active, People's Health Trust, Old Boys' Club, Whitehall Allottments, Better Living, Aloe Vera, Glee Club, Time Credits, and many many more! This past Summer’s “Big Lunch” was hugely successful with numerous community and environmental groups form the Abbey and the City coming together on a gloriously sunny day with tons of Excitement, Enthusiasm, and Great Fun.
